?-Glucosidase-IN-43 (compound AS14) is an ?-glucosidase inhibitor with an IC50 of 4.32 ?M, demonstrating acute blood-glucose-lowering properties. It is safe and effective in vivo, showing no toxicity to normal fibroblasts in mice and can ameliorate diabetes induced by streptozotocin in rats. ?-Glucosidase-IN-43 is applicable for research on postprandial hyperglycemia in diabetic patients.
