5-Hydroxypropafenone hydrochloride

5-Hydroxypropafenone, an active metabolite of propafenone, inhibits transient outward potassium current (Ito) in isolated human atrial myocytes with an IC50 of 1.5 μM. In vivo, it increases the atrial effective refractory period in dogs at doses of 0.5, 1, and 2 mg/kg.
