FITC-PEG-Br (MW 2000) is a fluorescent dye composed of fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), polyethylene glycol (PEG), and a bromine group (-Br) . The bromine moiety acts as an electrophilic reactive group, facilitating nucleophilic substitution reactions, which is useful for subsequent chemical modifications (Ex/Em = 488/525 nm) .
