It serves as a click chemistry reagent, engaging in copper-catalyzed azide-alkyne cycloaddition reactions (CuAAc) with alkyne-containing molecules. Additionally, it participates in strain-promoted alkyne-azide cycloaddition (SPAAC) reactions with molecules containing DBCO or BCN groups.
