Fura-2 pentasodium is a ratiometric fluorescent dye utilized for intracellular calcium ion imaging, with a Kd value of 140 nM. Its emission wavelength is 510 nm, and it features excitation wavelengths of 340 nm and 380 nm. The fluorescence intensity ratio of 340/380 is directly proportional to the intracellular Ca2+ (calcium ion) levels.
