DMT-BH1 amidite (BHQ-1 DMT amidite) is an effective dark quencher with a broad absorption spectrum that encompasses the visible range, peaking in the green to yellow area. It is employed in the synthesis of qPCR dual-labeled oligonucleotide probes with a 5'-quencher DusQ 1 and in other FRET applications for multiplex analysis.
