It increases the concentration of active glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) in plasma, which in turn stimulates insulin secretion when blood glucose levels are elevated, thereby exhibiting hypoglycemic effects. (2S,4R) -Teneligliptin is a promising candidate for research in type 2 diabetes.
