BChE-IN-39 (Compound 7c) selectively inhibits butyrylcholinesterase (BChE) with an IC50 of 0.08 ?M, while showing an IC50 of 3.98 ?M for acetylcholinesterase (AChE) inhibition. Additionally, BChE-IN-39 downregulates GSK-3? expression, thereby inhibiting the excessive phosphorylation of tau protein.
