Actinobolin ((+) -Actinobolin) is an antibiotic that inhibits protein synthesis by targeting ribosomes in both bacteria and eukaryotes. It suppresses the activity of Mycobacterium smegmatis, Escherichia coli, and rabbit reticulocyte lysate (RRL), with IC50 values of 19.2 μmol/L, 27.9 μmol/L, and 288 μmol/L, respectively.
