Calligonine

Calligonine, also known as Tetrahydroharman, is the primary alkaloid component found in the roots of Calligonum minimum and the bark of Elaeagnus angustifolia. When ingested, this compound significantly reduces blood pressure with a prolonged effect, similar to the action of reserpine.
