KY-455 is a novel acyl-CoA: cholesterol acyltransferase (ACAT) inhibitor. It demonstrates inhibition of ACAT in rabbit intestines, liver, macrophages, and adrenal glands with IC50 values of 0.4, 0.9, 2.9, and 4.1 ?mol/L, respectively.
