Recombinant human OX40 Ligand/TNFSF4 protein
OX40 Ligand/TNFSF4, also known as Inositol monophosphatase 3, is a member of the tumor necrosis factor (TNF) receptor family. It is expressed on many antigen-presenting cells such as DC2s, macrophages, and activated B lymphocytes. The receptor for OX40L is OX40 that is expressed predominantly on activated CD4+ T cells. Expression of OX40 is transient following engagement of T cell receptors. The ligation of OX40-OX40L is a source of survival signal for T cells and enables the development of memory T cells. Also, It stimulates proliferation and differentiation of activated B cells, and increases immunoglobulin secretion. OX40-OX40 Ligand signaling is involved in graft-versus-host disease and autoimmune disease . Mutations in OX40 and OX40 Ligand are associated with cardiovascular disease. Recombinant human OX40 Ligand/TNFSF4, fused to His-tag at C-terminus, was expressed in HEK293 cell and purified by using conventional chromatography techniques.
