Recombinant human EphB4 protein
EPHB4, also known ephrin type-B receptor 4, is a member of the Eph receptor tyrosine kinase family. It binds transmembrane ephrin-B family ligands residing on adjacent cells, leading to contact-dependent bidirectional signaling into neighboring cells. This protein plays a central role in heart morphogenesis and angiogenesis through regulation of cell adhesion and cell migration. And the signaling of this protein controls cellular repulsion and segregation form EFNB2-expressing cells. And it also plays a role in postnatal blood vessel remodeling, morphogenesis and permeability and is thus important in the context of tumor angiogenesis. Recombinant human EPHB4 protein, fused to His-tag at C-terminus, was expressed in insect cell and purified by using conventional chromatography techniques.
