Recombinant human JNK3/MAPK10 protein
MAPK10, also known as mitogen-activated protein kinase 10, is a member of the MAP kinase family. This group of protein kinases includes at least 10 members that interact selectively with ATF2, Jun and Elk-i transcription factors. It acts as an integration point for multiple biochemical signals, and are involved in a wide variety of cellular processes such as proliferation, differentiation, transcription regulation and development. This protein is a neuronal-specific form of c-Jun N-terminal kinases (JNKs) . Through its phosphorylation and nuclear localization, this kinase plays regulatory roles in the signaling pathways during neuronal apoptosis. Also, expression of multiple JNK isoforms provides a mechanism for the generation of tissue-specific responses to the activation of the JNK signal transduction pathway. Recombinant human MAPK10, fused to His-tag at C-terminus, was expressed in insect cell and purified by using conventional chromatography techniques.
