Recombinant human STAT3 protein
STAT3, also known as signal transducer and activator of transcription 3 isoform 1, is a member of the STAT protein family. It is a transcription factor activated in response to cytokine, growth factor, or hormone receptor signaling. Once this protein is activated, recruits coactivators, such as NCOA1 or MED1, to the promoter region of the target gene and it mediates cellular responses to activated FGFR1, FGFR2, FGFR3 and FGFR4. It also acts as a regulator of inflammatory response by regulating differentiation of naive CD4+ T-cells into T-helper Th17 or regulatory T-cells. Recombinant human STAT3 protein, fused to His-tag at C-terminus, was expressed in insect cell and purified by using conventional chromatography techniques.
