Recombinant human IFN-gamma R1/IFNGR1 protein
IFNGR1, also known as interferon gamma receptor 1, is a member of the hematopoietic cytokine receptor superfamily. It is a receptor that binds interferon-gamma, the sole member of interferon type II. It induces the rapid dimerization of chains, thereby forming a site that is recognized by the extracellular domain of IFNGR2. It is expressed in a membrane-bound form in many cell types, and is over-expressed in tumour cells. Its signaling promotes autoimmune germinal centers via cell-intrinsic induction of BCL-6. It is crucial for host defence against mycobacterial infections. It is associated with susceptibility to pulmonary tuberculosis (TB) . Recombinant human IFNGR1, fused to His-tag at C-terminus, was expressed in insect cell and purified by using conventional chromatography techniques.
