Recombinant human IL-5R alpha/IL5RA protein
IL5RA, also known as interleukin-5 receptor subunit alpha, is a subunit of the Interleukin-5 receptor. The alpha chain binds to IL5. It generates soluble secreted forms which function as IL-5 antagonists and promotes the differentiation of basophils and B cells. This protein plays also a roll of T-cell-derived cytokine which is important in the development of asthma for the lerminal differentiation, activation and survival of committed cosinophil precursors. Recombinant human IL5RA protein, fused to His-tag at C-terminus, was expressed in insect cell and purified by using conventional chromatography techniques.
