Recombinant human Integrin beta 4/CD104 protein
ITGB4, also known as integrin beta-4 isoform 1, is a member of the Integrin beta family. It forms noncovalent heterodimers with Integrin alpha 6 and participates in the formation of epithelial hemidesmosomes. This protein plays a critical structural role in the hemidesmosome of epithelial cells and is required for the regulation of keratinocyte polarity and motility. The heterodimer of them binds to NRG1 and this binding is essential for NRG1-ERBB signaling and binds to IGF1 and this binding is essential for IGF1 signaling. It tends to associate with alpha 6 subunit and is likely to play a pivotal role in the biology of invasive carcinoma. Recombinant human ITGB4 protein, fused to His-tag at C-terminus, was expressed in insect cell and purified by using conventional chromatography techniques.
