Recombinant human SP-D protein
SFTPD, also known as pulmonary surfactant-associated protein D, is a member of the collectin family of innate immune modulators. It contributes to the lung's defense against inhaled microorganisms, organic antigens and toxins. This protein interacts with compounds such as bacterial lipopolysaccharides, oligosaccharides and fatty acids and modulates leukocyte action in immune response. Recombinant human SFTPD protein, fused to His-tag at C-terminus, was expressed in insect cell and purified by using conventional chromatography techniques.
