Recombinant mouse SF20/MYDGF protein
Mydgf, also known as Myeloid-derived growth factor, is a bone marrow-derived monocyte and paracrine-acting protein that promotes cardiac myocyte survival and adaptive angiogenesis for cardiac protection and repair after myocardial infarction. It stimulates endothelial cell proliferation through a MAPK1/3-, STAT3- and CCND1-mediated signaling pathway. Mydgf-deficient mice develop larger infarct scars and more severe contractile dysfunction compared to wild-type mice. Recombinant mouse Mydgf, fused to His-tag at N-termineus, was expressed in E. coli and purified by using conventional chromatography techniques.
