Recombinant mouse GRP78/HSPA5 protein
HSPA5, also known as 78 kDa glucose-regulated protein precursor, is a member of the heat shock protein 70 (HSP70) family. It is localized in the lumen of the endoplasmic reticulum (ER), and is involved in the folding and assembly of proteins in the ER. As this protein interacts with many ER proteins, it may play a key role in monitoring protein transport through the cell. Recombinant mouse HSPA5 protein, fused to His-tag at N-terminus, was expressed in E. coli and purified by using conventional chromatography techniques.
