Recombinant human CD94/KLRD1 protein
KLRD1, also known as natural killer cells antigen CD94 isoform 1, is expressed on the surface of natural killer cells in the innate immune system. It plays a role as a receptor for the recognition of MHC class I HLA-E molecules by NK cells and some cytotoxic T-cells. This protein can form disulfide-bonded heterodimer with NKG2 family members. CD94 and NKG2 complex interacts with Human Leukocyte Antigen (HLA) -E on target cells on the surface of natural killer cells. Recombinant human KLRD1, fused to His-tag at C-terminus, was expressed in insect cell and purified by using conventional chromatography techniques.
