Recombinant human IL-13R alpha 2/IL13RA2 protein
IL13RA2, also known as interleukin-13 receptor subunit alpha-2, is a membrane bound protein that in humans is encoded by the IL13RA2 gene. It is able to regulate the effects of both IL13 and IL14, despite the fact it is unable to bind directly to the latter. Also, this protein plays an important role in the Th2-polarized immune responses characteristic of a variety of pathologies, including parasitic infection and allergic asthma. Recombinant human IL13RA2, fused to hIgG-His-tag at C-terminus, was expressed in insect cell and purified by using conventional chromatography techniques.
