Recombinant human Siglec-5 protein
SIGLEC5, also known as sialic acid-binding Ig-like lectin 5, belongs to immunoglobulin superfamily and SIGLEC family. This protein is composed of 2 Ig-like C2-type domains and 1 Ig-like V-type domain. Also, it is expressed by monocytic/myeloid lineage cells. It is found at high levels in peripheral blood leukocytes, spleen, and at lower levels in lymph node, appendix, pancreas, lung, and thymus. Recombinant human SIGLEC5, fused to hIgG-His-tag at C-terminus, was expressed in insect cell and purified by using conventional chromatography techniques.
