Recombinant human PKA C-alpha/PRKACA protein
PRKACA, also known as cAMP-dependent protein kinase catalytic subunit alpha isoform Calpha1, is a member of the Ser/Thr protein kinase family. It is responsible for phosphorylating other proteins and substrates, changing their activity. This protein is a member of the AGC kinase family, and contributes to the control of cellular processes that include glucose metabolism, cell division, and contextual memory. Recombinant human PRKACA protein, fused to GST-tag at N-terminus, was expressed in insect cell and purified by using conventional chromatography techniques.
