Recombinant mouse Lactadherin/MFGE8 protein
Mfge8, also known as Milk fat globule-EGF factor 8 protein, is pleiotropic secreted glycoprotein that promotes mammary gland morphogenesis, angiogenesis, and tumor progression. It also plays an important role in tissue homeostasis and the prevention of inflammation. It functions as a bridge between phosphatidylserine on apoptotic cells and Integrin alpha V beta 3 on phagocytes, leading to the clearance of apoptotic debris. Recombinant mouse Mfge8 protein, fused to His-tag at C-terminus, was expressed in insect cell and purified by using conventional chromatography techniques.
