Recombinant human TIMP-2 protein
TIMP2, also known as metalloproteinase inhibitor 2, belongs to the tissue inhibitors of metalloproteinases family. The TIMP family inhibit most MMPs by forming non-covalent binary complex. TIMP2 plays a unique role among TIMP family members owing to its functions to regulate cellular responses to growth factors. Recombinant human TIMP2, fused to His-tag at C-terminus, was expressed in insect cell and purified by using conventional chromatography techniques.
