Recombinant mouse Meteorin protein
METRN, also known as meteorin, involved in both glial cell differentiation and axonal network formation during neurogenesis. It promotes astrocyte differentiation and transforms cerebellar astrocytes into radial glia. Also, this protein induces axonal extension in small and intermediate neurons of sensory ganglia by activating nearby satellite glia. Recombinant mouse METRN, fused to His-tag at C-terminus, was expressed in insect cell and purified by using conventional chromatography techniques.
