Recombinant human KIAA0513 protein
KIAA0513 also known as uncharacterized protein KIAA0513, is highly expressed in the brain cortex, cerebellum, hippocampus, amygdala, pons and putamen. As the expression is high in neurons, KIAA0513 is also present in glial cells. In schizophrenic patients, higher levels are observed in the dorsolateral prefrontal cortex as compared to control patients. Recombinant human KIAA0513, fused to His-tag at N-terminus, was expressed in E. coli and purified by using conventional chromatography techniques.
