Recombinant human TIM-1/KIM-1/HAVCR protein
HAVCR1 also known as Hepatitis A virus cellular receptor 1. The protein is a membrane receptor for both human hepatitis A virus (HHAV) and TIMD4. The protein may be involved in the moderation of asthma and allergic diseases. The reference genome represents an allele that retains a MTTVP amino acid segment that confers protection against atopy in HHAV seropositive individuals. Three transcript variants encoding the same protein have been found for this gene. Recombinant human HAVCR1, fused to His-tag at N-terminus, was expressed in E. coli.
