Recombinant human 5′-Nucleotidase/CD73 protein
NT5E is a plasma membrane protein that catalyzes the conversion of extracellular nucleotides to membrane-permeable nucleosides. This protein is used as a determinant of lymphocyte differentiation. Defects in this gene can lead to the calcification of joints and arteries. Two transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. Recombinant human NT5E protein, fused to His-tag at N-terminus, was expressed in E. coli and purified by using conventional chromatography techniques.
