Recombinant human NDRG2 protein
NDRG2, also known as SYLD, is a member of the N-myc downregulated gene family which belongs to the alpha/beta hydrolase superfamily. Expressed at high levels in heart, brain, dendritic cells, salivary gland and skeletal muscle and at lower levels in liver and kidney, NDRG2 is thought to be involved in dendritic and neuronal cell differentiation and outgrowth. It is found in brain lesions of Alzheimer Disease (AD) -affected patients and is thought to be associated with the progression of AD. Recombinant human NDRG2 protein, fused to His-tag at N-terminus, was expressed in E. coli.
