Recombinant human HOMER2 protein
Homer protein homolog 2, also known as HOMER2, is a member of the homer family of dendritic proteins. Homer family proteins are immediate early gene products that bind to group 1 metabotropic glutamate receptors (mGluRs), proteins involved in triggering intracellular calcium release. HOMER2 have also been shown to link mGluRs with the inositol triphosphate receptors (IP3R) . Recombinant human HOMER2 protein, fused to His-tag at N-terminus, was expressed in E. coli and purified by using conventional chromatography techniques.
