Recombinant human DNAJB8 protein
DNAJB8, also known as dnaJ homolog subfamily B member 8, is superior suppressors of aggregation and toxicity of disease-associated polyglutamine proteins. DNAJB8 is (de) acetylated at two conserved C-terminal lysines that are not involved in substrate binding, but do play a role in suppressing protein aggregation. Recombinant human DNAJB8 protein, fused to His-tag at N-terminus, was expressed in E. coli and purified by using conventional chromatography.
