Recombinant human DRG1 protein
Developmentally-regulated GTP-binding protein 1 (DRG1) belong to the GTP1/OBG family. It plays a role in cell proliferation and differentiation, as well as in apoptosis, suggesting a role in tumor formation and metastasis. Expression of the DRG1 was significantly reduced in breast tumor cells, particularly in patients with lymph node or bone metastasis as compared to those with localized breast cancer. This protein expressed at high levels in heart, kidney and skeletal muscle and at lower levels in brain, liver, placenta, lung, colon and spleen. Recombinant human DRG1 protein, fused to His-tag at N-terminus, was expressed in E. coli and purified by using conventional chromatography techniques.
