Recombinant human FAHD1 protein
Fumarylacetoacetate hydrolase domain-containing protein 1, also known as FAHD1, belongs to the FAH family. FAHD1 is thought to have hydrolase activity and uses Magnesium and Calcium as cofactors. It appears highly probable that the metal binding sites are involved in an enzymatic activity related to the catabolism of aromatic amino acids. Recombinant human FAHD1 protein, fused to His-tag at N-terminus, was expressed in E. coli and purified by using conventional chromatography techniques.
