Recombinant human AUH protein
AUH, also known as mitochondrial methylglutaconyl-CoA hydratase, is involved in the amino acid degradation pathway by catalyzing the conversion of 3-methylglutaconyl-CoA to 3-hydroxy-3-methylglutaryl-CoA and water. It has been found to have very low enoyl-CoA hydratase activity. Recombinant human AUH protein, fused to His-tag at N-terminus, was expressed in E. coli and purified by using conventional chromatography.
