Recombinant human SCAND1 protein
SCAN domain-containing protein 1, also known SCAND1, belongs to a family of genes that encode an isolated SCAN domain. SCAND1 contains one SCAN box domain and, unlike the majority of other SCAN domain containing proteins, it does not contain a zinc finger motif. SCAND1 is a nuclear protein that may play a role in the mechanism of transcription regulation. It is widely expressed with highest levels of expression found in kidney, thyroid, liver, prostate and testis. Recombinant human SCAND1 protein, fused to His-tag at N-terminus, was expressed in E. coli and purified by using conventional chromatography techniques.
