Recombinant human GRPEL1 protein
GRPEL1 is an essential component of the PAM complex, a complex required for the translocation of transit peptide-containing proteins from the inner membrane into the mitochondrial matrix in an ATP-dependent manner. This protein seems to control the nucleotide-dependent binding of mitochondrial HSP70 to substrate proteins. Recombinant human GRPEL1 protein, fused to His-tag at N-terminus, was expressed in E. coli and purified by using conventional chromatography techniques.
