Recombinant human LC3A/MAP1LC3A protein
Microtubule-associated proteins 1A/1B light chain 3A isoform a, also known as MAP1LC3A, is one of the light chain subunits and can associate with either MAP1A or MAP1B. It plays critical roles in neuronal development and in maintaining the balance between neuronal plasticity and rigidity. MAP1LC3A is expressed as two alternatively spliced isoforms that are expressed in testis, brain, heart, liver and skeletal muscle, but are absent in thymus and peripheral blood leukocytes. Recombinant human MAP1LC3A protein, fused to His-tag at C-terminus, was expressed in E. coli and purified by using conventional chromatography techniques.
