Recombinant human CCL22/MDC protein
CCL22/MDC is a small cytokine belonging to the CC chemokine family. This protien displays chemotactic activity for natural killer cells, chronically activated T lymphocytes, monocytes and dendritic cells. It interacts with cell surface chemokine receptors CCR4. This chemokine may play a role in the trafficking of activated T lymphocytes to inflammatory sites and other aspects of activated T lymphocyte physiology. Recombinant human CCL22/MDC, fused to His-tag at N-terminus, was expressed as insoluble protein aggregate in E. coli and purified by conventional chromatography, after refolding of the isolated inclusion bodies in a renaturation buffer.
