Recombinant human Aurora B protein
Aurora Kinase B is a member of a family of mitotic serine/threonine kinases. Aurora Kinase B associates with chromosomes during prophase prior to relocalizing to the spindle at anaphase. Aurora Kinase B regulates chromosome segregation through the control of microtubule-kinetochore attachment and cytokinesis. Expression of Aurora Kinase B during the G2/M phase transition is tightly coordinated with histone H3 phosphorylation, while overexpression in many kinds of cancers. Recombinant human Aurora Kinase B, fused to His-tag at N-terminus, was expressed in E. coli and purified by using conventional chromatography techniques.
