Recombinant human CHMP2A protein
CHMP2A, also known as chromatin modifying protein 2A, belongs to the SNF7 family and it is component of the ESCRT III complex, which is required for multivesicular bodies (MVBs) formation and sorting of endosomal cargo proteins into MVBs. The MVB pathway mediates delivery of transmembrane proteins into the lumen of the lysosome for degradation. Recombinant CHMP2A protein, fused to His-tag at N-terminus, was expressed in E. coli and purified by using conventional chromatography techniques.
