Recombinant human Aurora A protein
Aurora Kinase A is a member of a family of mitotic serine/threonine kinases. It is implicated with important processes during mitosis and meiosis whose proper function is integral for healthy cell proliferation. Aurora kinase A is highly expressed in testis and weakly in skeletal muscle, thymus and spleen. Also this protein plays a crucial role in tumourigenesis and is overexpressed in many kinds of cancers. Recombinant human Aurora-A fused to His-tag at N-terminus, was expressed in E. coli and purified by using conventional chromatography.
