Human Beclin 1/BECN1 antibody

Beclin-1 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the BECN1 gene. Beclin-1 is a mammalian ortholog of the yeast autophagy-related gene (Atg) 6 and BEC-1 in the C. elegans nematode. Beclin-1 participates in the regulation of autophagy and has an important role in development, tumorigenesis, and neurodegeneration. Beclin-1 and its binding partner class III phosphoinositide 3-kinase (PI3K), also named Vps34, are required for the initiation of the formation of the autophagosome in autophagy.

FACS Description

Flow cytometry analysis of BECN1 in HeLa cells. The cell was stained with ATGA0355 at 2-5ug for 1x10^6cells (red) . A Goat anti mouse IgG (Alexa fluor 488) was used as the secondary antibody. Mouse monoclonal IgG was used as the isotype control (dark gray), cells without incubation with primary and secondary antibody was used as the negative control (light gray) .

IF Description

ICC/IF analysis of BECN1 in HeLa cells. The cell was stained with ATGA0355 (1:100) . The secondary antibody (green) was used Alexa Fluor 488. DAPI was stained the cell nucleus (blue) .
