Recombinant human AG-2/AGR2 protein
AGR2 (Anterior gradient 2 homolog) is the human orthologue of the secreted Xenopus laevis Anterior Gradient protein (XAG-2) . This is a small, possibly secreted molecule of yet weakly defined functions that is widely expressed in human tissues. Expression of AGR2 shows a positive correlation with expression of estrogen receptor in breast carcinoma and a negative correlation with expression of EGF receptor. Recombinant human AGR2, fused to His-tag at N-terminus, was expressed in E. coli and purified by using conventional chromatography techniques.
