Catalytic activity:ATP + a-L-tyrosine = ADP + a-L-tyrosine phosphate. Phosphorylates and inhibits CDC2. May act as a negative regulator of entry into mitosis (G2 to M transition) . PTM:Phosphorylated . Belongs to the protein kinase superfamily. Ser/Thr protein kinase family. WEE1 subfamily. Contains 1 protein kinase domain. tissue specificity:Expressed in testis.
