Phospho-IRS1 (Ser636 + Ser639) Polyclonal Antibody, Cy7 Conjugated
Product Specifications
Background
May mediate the control of various cellular processes by insulin. When phosphorylated by the insulin receptor binds specifically to various cellular proteins containing SH2 domains such as phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase p85 subunit or GRB2. Activates phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase when bound to the regulatory p85 subunit (By similarity) .

Specificity
This phosphorylation site is homologous to Ser632 + ser635 in Mouse and Rat IRS1. This protein is known to be highly conserved in this sequences region, thus , this antibody may react with IRS2 when phosphorylated at Ser679 + Ser682 in Human , Ser675 + Ser678 in Mouse, and Ser676 +Ser679 in Rat based on homology.
