Background
ZFP106 is a new candidate transcription factor. It contains 2 C2H2-type zinc fingers and 6 WD repeats. May play a role in modulating tissue specificity to insulin (isoform 3) . Widely expressed, including lymphocytes.Isoform 3 is most abundant in insulin-sensitive tissues such as skeletal muscle, heart, fat, kidney and liver. Expression is regulated by insulin (isoform 3) .
