Zebrafish Her4 Antibody / Her4.1 / Her4.2 / Her4.3 / Her4.5
Her4 is prominently expressed in the developing central nervous system, where it maintains neural progenitor populations by inhibiting premature neuronal differentiation. By repressing proneural gene expression, Her4 ensures the proper timing and patterning of neuron formation. It also contributes to lateral inhibition, a process critical for the spatial organization of neural tissues. Because of its well-characterized role in Notch-mediated signaling and neurodevelopment, zebrafish Her4 is frequently used as a molecular marker for neural progenitor cells and as a model to study stem cell maintenance, differentiation, and the impact of disrupted Notch signaling in developmental disorders and disease.
